Dear Monmouth-Roseville Families, Staff, and Community Members,
It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce the Winter issue—our very first—of Titan Nation, our quarterly district magazine. This publication marks the beginning of an effort to share the remarkable stories that define Monmouth-Roseville Schools—stories of resilience, innovation, and a community united in its commitment to supporting its children.
Inside this issue, you’ll read about individuals like Megan Thornton, our dedicated school counselor, who has spent over two decades fostering a safe and nurturing environment for students. You’ll also meet Madyson Goodwin, a second-grade teacher whose passion for education reflects the bright future of our profession, and Sara Mendez, a leader in our English Language Development program, whose work empowers students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
This issue also highlights our innovative partnerships, such as the collaboration with Monmouth College led by Tammy LaPrad, training future educators within our own classrooms. These stories and more showcase the dedication of our staff and the resilience of our students as they achieve remarkable things every day.
I am especially pleased to share that Titan Nation is funded through a Federal Grant program, meaning no cost to our local taxpayers. Additionally, to ensure accessibility for our diverse community, translated versions of the magazine’s content are available online. Simply visit the URL or scan the QR code near the masthead details to access these resources.
As we embark on this new journey, my hope is that Titan Nation becomes more than a magazine—it becomes a celebration of who we are as a district and a community. Whether you are a parent, teacher, student, or neighbor, this is your story as much as it is ours.
Thank you for your unwavering support of Monmouth-Roseville Schools. Together, we are creating opportunities, shaping futures, and ensuring every student thrives.
Warm regards,
Edward Fletcher
Superintendent, Monmouth-Roseville Schools
