Fall | 2024

Members and Supporters of the Macomb Schools Community,

Welcome to the very first issue of Flight Path—our new quarterly magazine that celebrates everything that makes Macomb Schools such a special place. It is my pleasure to share with you this inaugural edition, which marks a new way for us to stay connected with you—our students, families, and community members.

With this magazine, we aim to highlight the remarkable stories happening right here in our district. Inside, you’ll find inspiring features about our students who continue to amaze us with their accomplishments, both in and out of the classroom. You’ll also meet some of the incredible teachers and non-certified staff who dedicate themselves every day to guiding and supporting our young learners. We’ll even share the whereabouts of some of our alumni in upcoming issues. These important stories of us give a glimpse into the heart of our schools—the people who make a difference in the lives of our students.

As we navigate the 2024-25 school year, this magazine will serve as a reminder of the extraordinary work being done by everyone who is part of Bomber Nation. From innovative programs that expand the horizons of learning to the tireless efforts of staff behind the scenes, this publication will shine a light on what makes Macomb Schools truly exceptional.

At the end of the day, Macomb Schools are more than just classrooms and hallways. We are a community united by our shared values and our belief in the potential of every child. Flight Path is a reflection of that—our commitment to you and the future of our district. It’s a testament to our connection with the community, and I hope each issue will leave you feeling proud of the remarkable journey we’re on together.

Thank you for your continued support. I am excited to share this journey with you and look forward to many more issues of Flight Path filled with stories of success, hard work, and dedication.

Sincerely,
Dr. Patrick Twomey
Superintendent, Macomb CUSD 185
