Dear Benton Grade School Family,
Autumn's embrace is upon us, and with it, I'm thrilled to unveil our inaugural issue of ‘Vision & Voice47,’’ our very own quarterly school-to-community magazine. As the vibrant hues of fall paint our surroundings, we are embarking on a colorful journey to tell the tales of our very own Benton Ranger Story. I’m confident you’ll like what you see. And best of all, we’re able to do this school story sharing with no burden to local District taxpayers.
Nine students, including the exceptional achievements and visions of two sets of twins. Three dedicated educators. A trailblazing alumnus, and a parent who has seamlessly shifted into the role of long-term substitute — this issue is a vibrant quilt of narratives that showcase the diverse brilliance of our Benton community. These aren't just tales; they are embodiments of grit, tenacity, and the heartwarming essence that makes Benton Grade School truly stand out.
Our students, the pride of Ranger nation, emanate ambition and promise. Their stories shine with dreams being crafted, embodying the immense potential that echoes through our corridors. The educators? Their stories delve deeper than the classroom, reflecting a dedication that's unparalleled. Our spotlighted alumnus serves as a testament to the far-reaching impacts of possibility-thinking paired with a Benton education, while our parent-turned-substitute reveals the spirit of adaptability and commitment that thrives among us.
It is essential, though, to recognize that the Benton narrative isn't confined to our school grounds. It pulses through the entire community — from the cheerful chatter of our students to the shared wisdom of past Rangers and the dreams of our most recent achievers. We are a vibrant mosaic of experiences, each piece essential and radiant in its uniqueness. Whether you're an educator, a student, an alumna/alumnus, or a parent, your story is a beacon of inspiration, ready to leave an indelible mark.
As we embrace the crispness of fall and dive deeper into this academic year, remember: every one of you has a story brewing, with each day offering a new chapter to pen. Leading Benton Grade School is more than a role to me; it is an honor, a continuous adventure, and an unfolding narrative.
Here's to the stories we’ll unravel, the achievements we’ll celebrate, and the legacy we're shaping together. #RangersRising
With anticipation and gratitude,
Dr. Steve Smith Superintendent, Benton Grade School
