Dear Knoxville Community,

Welcome to the very first issue of The Bullet Point Magazine! I am thrilled to introduce this semi-annual publication, which aims to bring you an inside look at the wonderful accomplishments and heartfelt stories from Knoxville Schools. This publication sharing the important stories from within our schools joins The Bullet Point Podcast as a means of creating better connection between our school district and the community it serves. As superintendent, it has been a privilege to witness the dedication of our students, teachers, coaches, and administrators, who each day bring their best to the classroom, fields, and community.

This magazine is more than just a collection of stories. It’s a celebration of the values and strengths that define Knoxville: resilience, community spirit, and a commitment to learning and growth. For those of you who may not have children in the schools, I hope this publication offers you a glimpse into the inspiring work happening in our district and showcases the positive impact Knoxville Schools have on the lives of our young people.

Knoxville has always been close to my heart. Growing up nearby and later returning here to be closer to family, I was reminded of the support and dedication that make this community so special. In Knoxville, there is a shared understanding that strong schools make for a strong community, and that is why we are constantly looking to innovate, improve, and celebrate the excellence within our schools.

Through The Bullet Point Magazine, we will keep you connected to our journey, from the achievements of our students and staff to the programs and partnerships that make Knoxville Schools a place of opportunity and belonging for all.
